Meanwhile, back at the ranch, grandma’s fighting indians one by one

I have no idea why that has popped into my mind.  Especiallly since I’ve been reading pirate on facebook.

I have been on antibiotics for 7 days now.  It helped the first couple of days, then my throat started to get sore.  Now today, my left ear is in pain.  You know that gland, behind the ear, that secretes when you eat something sour?  Well, It’s about the size of a ping pong ball.  I’m not a happy camper!  Must be why I feel like I’m fighting, however, instead of indians, it’s my body!  *sigh*  I’m really hoping when hubby gets whatever the specialist decides, it will get rid of us passing this back and forth.

I told him today that I was pretty tired of having sympathy pains for him!  I know, it’s his birthday … but still!!!  We had birthday ice cream tonight topped with caramel.  I never made it to the store for that cake, but there is always tomorrow night.

  1. Okay, that is a great post title.

Now I’ll have Ice Cream and Cake stuck in my head all day. Sadly they will be stuck in my head and not my mouth.

    • And that IS an awesome post title. It would make a fantastic Blog title as well. You should do that! erm… after you are well again.

  2. I hope you feel better soon! No one likes to have golf balls in their necks but I agree, it does give a good reason for more ice cream. 🙂

and also agree with everyone else-awesome title!

  3. I just love all of you!!! You make me smile!! I was watching Dr. Oz, a few weeks ago, and he had mentioned how he and his family put a drop of hydrogen pyroxide in each ear. Keeps them from getting ear aches. So I tried it and the pain was instantly stopped. It fizzled like crazy and made me do the head shake cats do. When I woke the next morning, the swelling and the ache were gone. My gland was still tender but not throbbing. How great is that?!?!

As for the title, I have my hubby and his friend to thank for that. However, the actual saying is, “Meanwhile back at the ranch, grandma’s beating off the indians one by one!”
