A member of my family is going through a rough patch right now.  This member had mentioned through all that is going on, a life lesson is being learned.  I thought that was a healthy way to look at one’s situation.

Life teaches us these lessons, unfortunately, during the lesson, we are scraped, brused, bloodied, to the point of broken.  Instead of looking at the “why” this is happening to us, a better way to look at it is, what am I learning from this?

What are your life lessons you’ve had to learn through the school of hard knocks?

Ahhhh Dobe…you already know mine! :-) It IS a good way to look at things…as lessons.

Sorry to hear about the family member. As for the hard knocks, I’ll have to give that some thought…

Your family member’s outlook is indeed a healthy way to face adversity. Gold can only become purer by enduring fire and having the dross burned away.

“Man needs difficulties; they are necessary for health.”
