Loss in the family

I just found out one of my uncle’s passed away this morning.  His name is Rudy Tenio, Music Director at the Wine & Roses in Lodi, CA.  It was shocking to all.
I am thankful my children were able to meet him and his family at our reunion in Vegas last year.  They don’t really know the family that [...]

I heard this song today, and forgot how much I enjoy it.

Amazing Talent

I just watched CMT’s Crossroads.  They had Joss Stone and LeAnn Rimes doing an hour duet of each other’s songs … I had to share, it was really good!  Joss is 20 and LeAnn is 25 what gifts they were given!

In the nick of time

I had my studded snow tires put on the truck on Wednesday, just in time for the first major storm of the season.  For those of you that miss snow, I took some pics while driving (sshh, don’t tell my kids):

   Passing Sand Harbor

Great bunch of kids

Last night was Breakout at our church.  It’s our Wednesday night teaching for 6th grade or so and below.   We gathered the older kids together for worship and then we played several games.  For the last game, each group was determined by birth month.  It was Bible Trivia and our group won!  I’m surprised I knew what I knew, [...]

Such a sorrowful day

My prayers go out to the family and friends of the victims as well as the family and friends of the shooter at the shopping mall in Omaha.  I cannot even imagine nor do I want to even imagine what they all are going through at this time.
My children, my sister and I used to [...]

Love the weather this time of year

This time of year the weather always gives me an awesome scene as I drive to work each day.   With the mixture of cold at night and the warm up during the day, the mountains have been painted with low lying clouds around them as I travel along the valley.  Once I start climbing up [...]

How has the writer’s strike affected you?

I cannot say that it has.  I am sure it will once the shows I’m addicted to run out of script, however, right now, it hasn’t.  I must say that I do enjoy watching reruns.  Yeah, I know, I’m wierd that way.
I’ve not had a very productive weekend.  Although, I did help clean the kennels [...]

Having one of those days

I’m not saying this day is bad, just a little sad.  I always get this way around the holidays.  I’m not sure if there was something in my past that happened when I was little that makes me this way during the holidays, but I do.  So, this is what I do when I get this way.
Way [...]
