Happy Halloween
Okay so I’m lame … no, I don’t have my light on and I am not participating in the giving of candy to the little ones. Since my children are grown and my grandchildren are not around, I cannot get into the mood to spread the candy to the neighborhood. I guess we will be known as the “grumpy couple in that house that doesn’t answer the door”! Oh well. When the kids were younger we used to put out bodies with the pumkins as the head and we loved seeing the little ones and their costumes. It just isn’t the same when you don’t have little ones of your own at home.
This question was asked on the radio station I listen to while driving home. What was your favorite halloween costume?? For me, it would have to be my cousin “It” costume I made up with a lady godiva wig. Of course, I should have bought 2 of them so I could cover my backside, no, I was not bare bummed, I had black leggings and a black shirt on, then the wig in front. Of course, I had to wear my glasses, since I cannot see. I put on a cowboy hat and a scarf. My daughter was having a party at our house and this is how I greeted the party guests. Dang, I should have done that for work today!
Today was my second day of work and I’m pooped! Yesterday was good, today I’m a little sore. I’m glad I’m home and can change into my jammies.
Last night I was a bit too energetic, which I am probably paying for today. After work yesterday, I went to WalMart to pick up a few groceries. I decided I was going to make Sweet and Sour Pork since the recipe looked so easy. Oh my, it was easy and pretty good. A definate keeper. Any of you cooks out there should try it. Tonight, hubby’s picking up dinner. The grocery store has a different family meal for each weeknight and tonight is meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. I like the convenience of picking up already cooked food!! :-) Have you guessed, I don’t cook very often. Hubby’s usually surprised when he walks in and smells food cooking. I should have taken a picture of him when he walked in the door so you could see his expression.
Well, y’all have a good night! Stay safe and make sure you check the candy!!
